Thanks for the amount of effort and care you put into your posts, and for making these available for free. They add colour and interest to my day, and I love the truthfulness of perspective.

Thanks for the content. @fairhavencircle is working to straddle the same line you are -- discussing the pillows we manufacture and sell as our primary topic, but interspersing all kinds of other content (entrepreneurial advice, Indian food, parenting tips, maybe even fashion) as well -- so we understand completely. Would love to chat and learn how you've grown such an incredible following!

Liberty always stock some hidden gems don't they. I'm fully invested Eleanor after you enabled my sunglasses collection to grow, love the variance of what you write about.

I love to hear that as it's definitely a mixed bag over here, theme wise!

Ughhhhh don’t tempt me more with that Sezane bag - I have been lusting after the version with embroidered flowers (because I am not as cool as you and the khaki version). Pls lie and say it falls apart and is scratchy and horrible.

I WANT to tell you that it's awful but it's weirdly soft and not stiff or brittle can some rattan can be. I hate to say it but I imagine I'll use it to death this summer!

Really interesting and enjoyable read - it’s like being penpals with the cousin who is just always the coolest.

I’m amused AND annoyed to hear the TJ tote is an ‘it’ item - I planned to order one after my partner finally wore out my (Sparks freebie) M&S one: double handled, structured base, tough as boots - if you know this tote you know… and no longer available! I’ve been searching for the right shopper to replace it, and the TJ one looks just right.

P.S. Men DO get more/better colourways and models of trainers. I’m a size child aka 3, maybe 4 on a good day. If I see another black-with-pink-detail on some outdoor runners…

Ahhh thank you! And I feel for your tiny feet – absolutely no chance of a menswear bargain there! The urge to add pink to women's trainers will continue to boggle my mind. If you don't get a TJ tote btw, L.L. Bean is very affordable and sturdy but much stiffer and more sturdy, so you couldn't really fold or roll it into another bag. I also got a huge nearly identical tote from Daylesford for £25. It's truly enormous so it's very useful for overnight stays or bulky things and they still sell it now.

Loved this, Eleanor. As per the comment above, I signed up because of your interiors writing but really liking the expansion into other things. Crown Northampton do men’s style shoes but with unisex sizing that starts at UK3. Most importantly for me they’re wide fitting. They’re certainly investment-level spending but when I see what women’s designers charge for scraps of leather sandals, they seem far more reasonable and will last for a very long time.

Thank you! I have a great pair of men's loafers in brown suede from a Belgian brand that I can never remember the name of (not helpful) but they start at about a size 4. I agree that sandals are insanely inexpensive considering how little there is to some of them.

I am so impressed you can maintain such a tight wardrobe! I didn't realise men's shoes went to a 6 as vivo barefoots don't and the men's smallest is too big for me but my size in women's (also 39 by length) is too narrow, as it is in almost every shoe. But I'll look out for other brands in the hope that a men's 6 might actually be wide enough for me!

To be honest I wish I didn't have to! If it wasn't for our ridiculous lack of wardrobe space, I'm sure it would quickly expand!

Love the look of those t-shirts! Also, I’m very envious of your raffia bag collection. I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect raffia shoulder bag that I can actually afford for ages, but have yet to find one.

Remember when bags made from natural fibres like raffia were about £20 and now it's not unusual for them to be £300?! Madness
