Why Substack?
I’m @aconsideredspace on Instagram too, where I’ve been building a community of design lovers since 2017. Through Instagram, I’ve found actual real-life friendships and amazing work opportunities but it has changed a lot over the years. I used to love sharing my thoughts and curations on Instagram Stories but as the algorithm has made it painfully difficult to reach people, it was time to try something new. I’m still on Instagram but my research-heavy, long-form content is now reserved exclusively for Substack!

What do I write about?
I share recommendations on hotels, interiors and personal style – I’m obsessive about timeless design and I have no interest in fads. I also use Substack to write about personal topics such as work, lifestyle and mental health. Oversharing is my comfort zone.
I share a curated edit or piece of writing between two and four times a month, so I won’t bombard you with new things to read.
How do subscriptions work?
A select few pieces are free for all to read but my most time-consuming edits and vulnerable writing will be reserved for paid subscribers. Their support enables me to put time aside to write here and I couldn’t sustain this publication without them!
Anyone is welcome (and encouraged) to subscribe but to get the most from my newsletter, a paid subscription at £5 a month (or £50 a year) gives you access to everything I write and curate, plus you can read and contribute to the comment sections, chats, and enter occasional giveaways. I save all of my best shopping finds, subjective opinions and most personal writing for Substack and I couldn’t do that without my readers, so thank you!
